If you've ever recruited, you'll probably have heard this phrase:

"We're a large company with a startup feel."

This statement was probably bollocks.

Everyone and their mother knows it's best if people in a company all have a similar culture. Bizarrely, it’s possible to test roughly for this.

• Ask: what do you do?
• Ask: and why is that important?

There are two things you can hire for when you hire a minion.

• Experience: How much does that person know about the specific task you want them to do
• Athleticism: How generally clever is that person? Can you put them on anything?

Working in teams is a seriously important skill. Let's consider why that is. If you could do everything on your own - sweet. But that's kinda rare, because you have a limited amount of time, and a limited set of skills you can bring into a project. So - in order to give a project more resources, you need a team.
